Briana Bateman joins FTS as Director

01.20.26

First Tuesday Strategies today announced the addition of Briana Bateman as a Director, where she will lead public affairs initiatives and campaign projects across the firm’s growing portfolio.

Bateman joins First Tuesday Strategies from the office of Tim Scott, where she served as a Regional Director. In that role, she managed complex political and public-facing efforts across South Carolina, built and maintained coalitions of elected officials and community leaders, and played a key role in advancing strategic priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

“Briana brings exactly the kind of experience and judgment our clients value,” said Matt Moore, Managing Partner of First Tuesday Strategies. “She understands how policy, politics, and communications intersect — and she knows how to execute. Her addition strengthens our ability to deliver results for campaigns, public-affairs clients, and organizations navigating complex issues.”

At First Tuesday Strategies, Bateman will oversee public affairs strategy, stakeholder engagement, and campaign-related projects, working closely with clients on messaging, coalition building, and execution at the local, state, and federal levels.

Bateman is widely regarded for her strategic instincts, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities while delivering results. Her experience in government and political operations adds depth to First Tuesday Strategies’ expanding team as the firm continues to grow its footprint across South Carolina and the Southeast.

“I’m excited to join First Tuesday Strategies and be part of a team that is deeply committed to effective strategy, strong relationships, and real results,” Bateman said. “I look forward to working with clients to help them achieve their goals.”
