Patton is a seasoned grassroots campaign operative with years of experience in South Carolina politics.
Prior to joining First Tuesday Strategies, Patton Byars was a South Carolina Regional Field Director for U.S. Senator Tim Scott’s Presidential campaign, overseeing the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Grand Strand. In this role, Patton focused on event operations: recruiting grassroots activists, coordinating volunteer efforts, and engaging with elected officials and GOP party leaders.
In 2022, Patton worked for the successful Ellen Weaver for State Superintendent of Education campaign as Political Director. During this election cycle, Patton was also involved in Congressman Russell Fry’s (SC-07) campaign, where Fry ousted a 5-term incumbent in a six-person GOP primary field.
Currently, Patton is a student at the University of South Carolina where he serves as Chief of Staff for the Student Body President. Throughout his high school tenure, Patton served as Chairman of the SC Teenage Republicans.
In his free time, you can find Patton attending Gamecock sporting events or cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
