Grant Fontaine is a native South Carolinian who grew up in Columbia, where he graduated from A.C. Flora High School. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and received Bronze, Silver, and Gold Palms in recognition of his leadership and service.
Grant is a two-time graduate of the University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2020 and a Master of Public Administration in 2022. While at USC, he gained hands-on policy experience working in the South Carolina General Assembly and interning with local law firms, developing a strong foundation in public policy, government affairs, and regulatory issues.
As Director of Public Affairs at First Tuesday Strategies, Grant leads public affairs and issue advocacy campaigns across the Southeast and beyond. His work includes managing public affairs initiatives for a Fortune 500 company, as well as supporting statewide organizations and coalition efforts. His portfolio spans clean energy, infrastructure, and economic development, helping clients effectively engage on complex state and federal policy matters. Grant’s work emphasizes conservative, market-driven solutions that promote economic growth and energy innovation.
Outside of work, Grant is an avid outdoorsman who spends his free time offshore fishing along the South Carolina coast and waterfowl hunting in the Lowcountry’s marshes and bays.
