Hunter Sox brings deep experience in legislative affairs, public policy, and issue advocacy to First Tuesday Strategies.
Prior to joining FTS, Hunter served as Legislative Initiatives Coordinator for the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health (IMPH), where he worked closely with members of the General Assembly, legislative staff, and elected officials to elevate the Institute’s role as a trusted, nonpartisan resource for health policy information. In this role, he strengthened IMPH’s visibility and credibility across state government while supporting data-driven policymaking.
Earlier in his career, Hunter worked for the South Carolina House of Representatives, gaining firsthand experience in the legislative process, stakeholder engagement, and constituent services.
From 2021 to 2025, Hunter served on the Cayce City Council, representing the community where he grew up. During his time in office, he was actively involved in local governance, economic development, and infrastructure issues, bringing a practical, on-the-ground perspective to public policy.
At First Tuesday Strategies, Hunter supports public affairs and issue advocacy efforts for clients spanning the banking, energy, and healthcare sectors, helping organizations navigate complex policy environments at the state and local levels.
