Patton Byars is a seasoned grassroots campaign operative with extensive experience in South Carolina politics.
Prior to joining First Tuesday Strategies, Patton served as a South Carolina Regional Field Director for U.S. Senator Tim Scott’s presidential campaign, overseeing operations across the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Grand Strand. In this role, he led event operations, recruited and managed grassroots activists, coordinated volunteer efforts, and worked closely with elected officials and GOP party leadership.
In 2022, Patton played a key role as Political Director for the successful Ellen Weaver for State Superintendent of Education campaign. During the same election cycle, he was also involved in Congressman Russell Fry’s (SC-07) campaign, where Fry defeated a five-term incumbent in a six-candidate Republican primary.
Patton is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he served as Chief of Staff to the Student Body President. Earlier, he served as Chairman of the South Carolina Teenage Republicans, building a strong foundation in grassroots organizing and party leadership.
Outside of work, Patton enjoys attending Gamecock sporting events and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
